2018 Curriculum Tests Information for parents

Do you have a child in primary school in year 2 or year 6? If so, they will be taking the national curriculum tests (SATs) in May 2018. The tests will provide information about how your child is progressing, compared to children the same age nationally. The results are used to ensure that schools are teaching their pupils the essential knowledge and skills in the subjects that are the early building blocks. This is to ensure every child reaches their full potential.

In Year Two children will take tests in Mathematics and Reading. Their writing will also be awarded a Teacher Assessment judgement.

In Year Six children will take tests in Mathematics, Reading and Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling. Their writing will also be awarded a Teacher Assessment judgement.

Year Six SATs week is the week beginning Monday 14th May 2018.

Results for both year groups will be included in the end of year report to parents.

Click on the document below to find out more detailed information about testing at the end of each key stage.
