Feedback from parents and carers

"Really enjoyed the session, already been on the internet looking things up! Thank you!"

"I really enjoyed today and found it really intriguing. I would love to find out more. Thank you."

"The passion you have in the subject of mental health and making a change really comes across. I am so gald my child goes to this school."

"I found the session really useful. The bit about explaining the brain to your child, the strategies and The Brow's involvement with the borough was really interesting. I'd be really interested in future sessions."

"Thank you. Fantastic talk- looking forward to future ones."

"It's nice to know teachers are human too and support us parents. You do a great job with our children."

"It feels nice to know they are trying to help parents, not only the children."

Nurturing Schools

Emotional wellbeing is at the centre of everything we do at The Brow. We are passionate about this and make it a priority for children, families and staff. Since 2016 we have been part of the 'Nurturing Schools' Programme and this has had a hugely positive impact on the lives of our children and families.

As a school community we have undertaken training in attachment, emotion coaching, the principles of nurture, person centred planning approaches, emotional wellbeing, art therapy and mindfulness. Mrs Webb and Mrs Jones have also completed training with Mental Health England and are now Mental Health First Aiders.

Families have shown a huge interest in this work and this has led to us providing workshops in emotional wellbeing for parents and carers - something which we hope to continue and expand. The feedback from this has been overwhelmingly positive.
