Autumn Term 1

 Curriculum

This term we will be using the following books as the stimulus for our English lessons:

In Maths we will be learning about place value to 10,000,000 and the four operations.

In Science we are learning about how scientists classify big and small.

In History we are learning about what we can learn about Runcorn from census information.

This half term in P.E. we are developing our skills in swimming and hockey.

P.E. kits will be needed on Mondays and Fridays.

This is what a week in Class 6 will look like:

Homework:

Homework will be set digitally on SATs Companion. It will be set on a Friday to be completed by the following Thursday. We also expect the children to read at home for at least ten minutes five days per week and encourage them to sign their reading records each time they read. We keep a record of home reads and children are rewarded for their efforts.
