Spring Term 1

 Curriculum

This term we will be enjoying the following books in our English lessons: 

.    

In Maths we will be learning about Fractions, Multiplication and Division and Percentages and Decimals.

In Science we are learning about why we need to keep our bodies healthy.

In History we are finding out what the Greeks have ever done for us.

In Computing we are learning about web page creation, in Music we are learning about film music and in Spanish we are learning to talk playing and enjoying sport. In P.S.H.E. we are learning about health and wellbeing and safety and the changing body.

In R.E. we are thinking about the question, "Why do Christians think Good Friday is good?"

In Art this half term we will be creating pieces for the shared school HPAN project and in Design Technology we will be investigation and creating structures and playgrounds.

This half term in P.E. we are developing our skills in football and hockey.

P.E. kits will be needed on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Homework:

Homework will be set digitally on SATs Companion. It will be set on a Friday to be completed by the following Thursday. We also expect the children to read at home for at least ten minutes five days per week and encourage them to sign their reading records each time they read. We keep a record of home reads and children are rewarded for their efforts.
